How To PURIFY Your SOUL According To The Bible
How do we have a purified soul?
& how do we have a soul that prospers?
First we must know that...
Your soul is under attack.
The enemy wants you to fall into his schemes & tactics.
He tries to tear you into pieces like a lion.
1 O Lord my God, in You I put my trust;
Save me from all those who persecute me;
And deliver me,
2 Lest they tear me like a lion,
Rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver. (Psalm 7:1-2)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8)
The enemy sends people to hurt & harm us.
The Lord sends people to help us & heal us.
God wants us to live a prosperous life.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Let's talk about how our soul gets purified & how it prospers.
Purification is a process.
When we are purified, it's to be cleansed.
Cleansed of the old.
When gold is purified through fire, the impurities rise up to the top of the gold...
...& the top of the gold where the impurities are, get removed.
How do we allow our soul to prosper?
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. (3 John 1:2-4)
We must walk in truth.
Not just a hearer, but a doer of the word.
How do we purify our soul?
22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, (1 Peter 1:22)
Our soul gets purified by obeying the truth.
Let the Lord purify you.
His ways are greater.
His ways are better.
Purification may not always be the way we desire it to be.
But the Lord allows it so we can become better as vessels.
Remember, the bible isn't here to punish us, but to protect us.
Our Heavenly Father loves us so much.
May you surrender & submit to His ways so you can live a prosperous life for the Lord!
In Jesus name.
